Accelerating the app ecosystem in India through our partnership with IAMAI, Google & Paytm

VMAX Mobile 10X IAMAI Google Paytm partnership featured

We at VMAX™ firmly believe that ‘Digital India’ will be driven by ‘Mobile India’ and mobile apps will power the country’s rise to a digital superpower. Driven by this belief, we are excited to announce our association with the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) as a founding partner for its Mobile 10X program. This unique initiative will see us come together with Google, Paytm and IAMAI to boost the app ecosystem in India.

As the founding partners for this initiative, our objective will be to work in unison to Educate, Engage, Evangelize and Enable app developers in the country. We see ourselves playing a crucial role in Mobile 10X through workshops, hackathons, job fests, app fests and mentorship programs for app developers across India.

Mobile 10X will also have five startup hubs being set up across 5 cities in the coming five years. These hubs will include app testing facilities, design labs, co-working spaces, play zones and monetization zones. Through these monetization hubs, we will mentor app developers on monetization, helping them transform from app developers to ‘App Entrepreneurs.’

Mobile 10X aims to drive the Indian mobile app revenue from INR 1,000 crore to INR 10,000 crore by 2019. This initiative is also aimed at driving the number of mobile app developers in India from 50,000 to 500,000 in the next 5 years.

The board members for Mobile 10X include our Founder & CEO, Dippak Khurana; Rajan Anandan, Vice President & Managing Director, Google, South East Asia & India; Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder, One97 & Paytm and Subho Ray, President, IAMAI.
